Each class is $12, or take both classes for $20.
Maimouna will also give a lecture and performance at Bollyhood on
Saturday, February 28, from 6-10PM, related to her production
of "Ehhh Mariamou" that will come to Dance Mission in September of
2009.
Maimouna is a dancer and choreographer based in Paris, France,
specializing in contemporary African and Caribbean dance. She is the
founder of "Les Ambianceuses", a dance company whose repertoire
covers popular dance styles such as Ragga Dancehall, the Congolese
movement style Ndombolo, and Coupé décalé, a dance wich originated in
the Ivory Coast's night clubs. Maimouna runs regular classes and sell-
out workshops in 'Centre de Danse du Marais', one of the most
prestigious dance schools in Paris, and throughout Europe.
