***Matondo Ma Mingui, Merci Beaucoup & Thank You Very Much!!!***
It's only been about 3 hours since we walked off the dancefloor sweaty
and satisfied, and I'm still simmering from the caulderon of heat that
was made of Studio A at the Malonga Casquelourd Center for the Arts.
What a dynamic duo Cady & Maimouna were together... an explosive
combination of traditional and popular movement set to Soukous sounds
and culminating with the fiery rhythms of the Ngoma ... The ingredients
were all there but this stew would not have been as tasty without all
those who came out to support this special workshop...
Thank you for making it a workshop to remember... and for adding your
spice to the mix!
For those of you who had the great misfortune of missing tonight's Afro
Urban workshop w/Cady & Maimouna, you still have one more oppportunity
to catch Maimouna in the East Bay...she will be Alseny's special guest
instructor this Friday @ the Malonga Center, see workshop details below:
Learn the Tricks & Treats of Afro Urban Dance Styles w/Maimouna
What? **A Special Halloween Workshop in Ndombolo, Coupe Decale,
Koyimbiko & Ragga Dancehall**
When? Friday, October 31st @8pm
Cost? $12
